IdleAires are a communications service and information dissemination apparatus, operating as a Rock 'n Roll ensemble.

IdleAires are:

Joseph Winterhalter - guitar and vocals

William Gilmore Weber (dumBass)  - bass, guitar

Andrew Jody - drums, percussion

Dorey Fox - viola, guitar, noise  

 Situationist ‘art punk' - with a soupçon of post-punk precision that never lets you catch a breath - the IdleAires have drawn, well...comparisons.

Brewed through Short Vine sensations Bulgarian Nightlife, NYC punk-blues godfathers Chrome Cranks, and the legendary Barrence Whitfield and the Savages - among many others - IdleAires fuse visceral, genre defying rock and roll with echoes of transcendent radical theory and practice.

Having hit stages from Corryville to Côte d’Azur - and all points in between – the IdleAires remind you that in order to resist the spectacularized, post-millennial recuperation of style, it is imperative to dedicate an art to enacting – once again – an essentially situationist ‘Style of Negation’ --
